Nervousness doesn't make sense since I don't understand why or how the teachers would be nervous doing this.

Offence doesn't make sense either because offense is a punishable act.

Distress looked like another correct answer. But distress means causing extreme anxiety, sorrow, or pain to something or someone. In the sentence though, the teachers don't have extreme anxiety/ pain to this because this is not like a life-threatening problem. It is a just a general/normal problem.
