What wrong with this passage: *60 points* I’m gonna tell you about how in the poem fame is a bee, by emily Dickinson, figurative language is used to deepen the meaning of the poem. The text says “fame is a bee (Dickinson 1) This denomstrates the use of a metaphor to compare the concept of fame to a bee, both having posative and negative aspects. Additionally Dickinson writes, (Dickinson 1) “It has a song – It has a sting – Ah, too, it has a wing”. This show her use of personification by giving human (or animal) tendencies to a non-living thing and demonstrating how, like a bee, fame has sweet parts, fierce parts, and it can fly away at any moment. That’s why I don’t think I would want to be a celebrity. In summary, figurative langage is use in this poem to create depth and levels of meaning between the concepts presented.
