Once upon a midnight’s eve
Sat in his chamber, a sophomore, Steve,
Distracted not by wail or ghostly roar
But instead by pecking, pecking, pecking
Behind his open dorm room door.
“What is this pecking?” Steve now cried.
Behind the door, a voice replied,
“It’s me, your roommate, Chet,

“So please be troubled now no more
