The technology that has made mobile phones an everyday utility is often taken for granted. Yet, the ability to make and answer calls no matter one's location is not a new technology. A vocal community of scientists and military leaders experimented with wireless technology after the end of World War I. The earliest recorded use of wireless phones is 1918. The German military was communicating wirelessly from military bases to military trains. The evolution that led to modern mobile phones progressed quickly. The use of hand-held radios during World War II, the innovation of cell tower technology in the 1950s, and the car phones of the 1970s and 1980s inspired further progress. But the knockout moment that led to the modern set-up came with the 1G network in October 1983. From there, more powerful and freeing mobile technology began to take over. It wasn't long before the world began to sour on people being able to text message and make calls from anywhere. What is the connotative meaning of sour from the passage? A. grow acidic B. feel spoiled C. taste tangy D. become angry
