What do you do when you are confronted with conflict?

Try to work through it. Figure out what the problem is and what is causing it. Think of what you can do to solve the conflict, or at least make it not as bad. Unless there is ABSOLUTELY nothing else you can do, running from it or ignoring will just come back to hurt you. The best thing to do is just try and get though it, because most things pass eventually.

the first argument attacks those who disagree, asking them to be "realistic" and "accept facts." this is not conducive to healthy debate and disagreement. the second one only takes into account a section of the student population, and ignores the other one. finally, the third option offers only anecdotal evidence. it is only the last option that provides a well-constructed argument in a persuasive way.
