Choose your subject. The person should be someone you know and whom you can contact easily.
Write the subject's name on a sheet of paper and identify him or her (parent, friend, brother, etc.).
Interview the subject and then make a list of the significant dates of the first five years of the subject's life and give a brief explanation of why each date is significant.
Example: June 13, 1986: My parents moved from Springtown, Ohio, to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Now make a similar list which covers the most recent five years of the subject's life.
