Romeo & Juliet Narrative Writing
Act 2, Scene 4-Scene 5
Directions: In between Scene 4 & 5, the reader notices that Juliet’s nurse went to find Romeo and speak to him regarding Juliet. The audience infers that Juliet sent Nurse to find Romeo, but how does she convince Nurse to take on this risk? The audience never actually views the scene; however, it would be interesting to see how Juliet convinces Nurse to do this. Today, you will create that scene while using modern language. You must include the following things: Juliet & Nurse, the setting, dialogue between the characters, and descriptive language. You may include other characters who would make sense, such as Peter, Tybalt, or the Capulet parents. You must write in formal English (no slang) and follow all the rules of standard English. You will not write as a play, but as if you were reading a novel. The narrative writing rubric is attached.
Use the below space to outline the scene.
