much Abraham Lincoln loved animals. Throughout his lifetime, he owned several pets including dogs, cats, goats, and horses.
One pet in particular stands out from the others.

As a child, Lincoln liked to explore caves. Lincoln found his dog Honey when he was only 11 years old. There were a series of
deep caves worthy of exploring. She was injured and lying near some caves in Indiana. Lincoln did not believe that animals
should be treated cruelly.

While exploring an underground cave, the boy fell into a deep hole. Now it was Honey's opportunity to repay the young Abe
for his kindness to her. The boy took the dog home and helped her get well. They became close friends. One day, the pair went
