The Princess Bride Timeline Directions: Put the following 20 events in their correct order on a timeline (no dates, of course). Label each event, but it is OK to shorten the event in the label. Also, each event must have a small visual – a symbol or drawing to show the event.
Events:
Characters are Buttercup and Westley (Farmboy); they live on a farm.
Word gets back to Buttercup that Westley has died.
Buttercup realizes the man in black is Westley. (He yells 'as you wish' as he rolls down the hill.)
Buttercup makes Westley do everything for her.
Inigo helps Westley up and they begin to talk; then they sword fight.
Buttercup goes on a horse ride and gets kidnapped by Inigo, Fezzik the giant, and Vizzini.
Wesley kills Vizzini with a poisonous drink. Then he runs off with Buttercup.
After they leave the Fire Swamp, Humperdinck takes Buttercup back to get married.
Humperdinck has been tracking the princess and Westley; they go into the Fire Swamp.
The group climbs the Cliffs of Insanity with the man in black following.
Westley leaves for America to make his fortune.
Buttercup realizes she is in love with Westley.
Westley defeats Inigo and starts moving on eventually to meet up with Fezzik.
Westley is placed in the Zoo of Death’s Level 5.
Buttercup is rescued from the snow sand.
Wesley fights with Fezzik; Westley beats him and moves on.
Prince Humperdinck forces marriage or death upon Buttercup.
The six-fingered man (Rugen) hooks Westley up to the machine.
Westley helps Buttercup get away from the R. O.U. S
While they are distracted by a ship following them, Buttercup jumps in the water.
