1)The principle accusers in The Crucible are young, unmarried women. List(cite) 1-3 pieces of evidence from the play to show the status of single women in Puritan society. Then explain the extent to which these women were able to gain power and change their status in the society simply because of the accusations they threw out. 2)How do you think most people try to resolve conflicts between public and private affairs? Affairs meaning incidence not adultery. Keep in mind some people stay married even if adultery has occurred.
3)How does a person stay true to their values? Up to scene I it is difficult to find a character that can keep a secret and keep their values. Choose a character from “The Crucible.” What situations might challenge their honesty and integrity?
