Urbanization is connected to immigration because people migrated from rural areas to Urban areas and it got really nasty and crowded and people were living in these crowded rooms with four people to a bed (like charlie and the chocolate factory) There was sewage on the floor because the plumbing was horrible people were lucky to get enough walk space to use the restrooms. Tenements were these large buildings that had a room or two to each apartment and they were filled and stuffed with dirty immigrants and children.
