Directions: • For this assignment you will have the opportunity to demonstrate appropriate posture and technique as outlined in the lesson.
• In order to do this, you have three options.
• You only need to complete ONE of the options below.
• Each exercise is worth 4 points.
1. Video:
a. Create a video of yourself performing FIVE different exercises.
b. You will perform each exercise TWICE. Once with incorrect posture and the second time with correct posture and technique.
c. Examples of exercises include lunges, squats, push-ups, crunches, any resistance exercises, etc. For more ideas, refer to the exercise library.
d. Be sure that your video file is in a universally read format so that it can be viewed in programs such as QuickTime, Real Player, or Windows Media Player. Mpeg or WMV files are ideal. You will also want to keep your file size small (less than 10MB). You can include narration or music on your video if you wish, although it is not required.
2. Photos:
a. Have someone take pictures of you performing FIVE different exercises. This works best if you have a digital camera, but you can also use a regular camera and scan your pictures into the computer once they are developed.
b. You will perform each exercise TWICE. Once with incorrect posture and the second time with correct posture and technique.
c. Be sure that your picture files are small. There should be 10 pictures total.
d. Copy and paste each picture into a word processing document and label each picture, "Correct" or "Incorrect".
3. Diagram:
a. If you don't have access to a video camera or digital camera, you may complete option 3.
b. Draw a diagram of a figure performing FIVE different exercises.
c. Draw both the correct and incorrect way to perform the exercise.
d. Scan your drawing into the computer (or you can generate your drawing on the computer if you wish).
