What did Daedalus invent to help them escape from the

In the Greek myth, Daedalus and his son Icarus was placed in a never ending labyrinth by the Crete. Since Daedalus was a very skilled craftsman, he was able to come up with an idea to help him and his son escape. He noticed that the birds who flew by the labyrinth often left back feathers. Daedalus instructed his son to pick up every feather he could find. After collecting them, Daedalus constructed a pair of wings by glueing each piece of feather together with wax. Then, putting on their “wings”, Daedalus and Icarus flew out of the labyrinth.
