Dots Vein Story Out Level Question 7
Which choice BEST states how Ruthie's and Spencer's points of view
are different at first?
Ruthie thinks their dad will hate
the plant. Spencer thinks he'll like
it.
When I got home from soccer, I went straight to Spencer's
room. His face was one big beaming smile.
"Take a look." He pointed to a square box on his desk.
I picked up the box, but it felt empty. When I opened the top
and peered inside, I saw a twig or something lying on the
bottom. It looked like a leggy green insect. No blossoms. No
pot. Not even any soil!
Ruthie thinks the plant cost too
much. Spencer thinks it's worth
the money
"Is this it?" I hissed at Spencer.
Ruthie thinks the plant will die
without soil. Spencer is sure it
will live.
Spence's face fell, but he quickly recovered. He started
babbling excitedly. "Dad's gonna think this is so cool! It's an
air plant, see? It doesn't need any dirt. You just hang it from
a string!"
Ruthie thinks the plant is really
an insect. Spencer is sure it's a
plant
"Great-like a big ugly spider!" I snapped, and stormed out
of his room, slamming the door.
