However, she overcame this and worked hard to become the successful woman she is today. She was even known as the richest African American in the 20th century at one point, which is a huge milestone. She overcame many obstacles that were thrown her way, and became the person she is today. Oprah Winfrey suffered a lot in her past, but that’s what made her fight for a better future.
