Informative/Explanatory The hero ofan epic poem usually embodies the ideals of
conduct that are valued by the culture in which the epic was composed. This is true
of Beowulf, who embodies the ideals of Anglo-Saxon culture in Beowulf. In a
brief essay, identify at least three of Beowulf's virtues that reflect cultural values of
his time. Support your observations by citing the part or parts of the epic in which
the virtue is displayed.
