To use empathy effectively, you need to put aside your own viewpoint and see things from the other person's perspective. Then, you can recognize behavior that appears at first sight to be over emotional, stubborn, or unreasonable as simply a reaction based on a person's prior knowledge and experiences.

n Empathy. The feeling every human being has to bond, coexist, and build a better future. It's what gives us our emotions. Sadness brings us together in times of loss. Anger unites us to stand up to what's wrong. Fear is what keeps us out of danger and alive. Happiness is generosity in hard times. It's the one thing we all seek in life. To be happy. All these emotions build up to it. So that's why we're still striving to be happy in these hard times. We can relate to one another, and comfort someone in a time of loss. We have our burning anger driving us to stand up to what's wrong. We have fear that keeps us apart to stay safe.
