Paul was catching grasshopper when he saw a lizard suddenly dart its sticky tongue to catch a fly. Fascinated, he decided to catch a lizard instead (1) grasshopper. Paul crouched down on the grass and stretched his hand out slowly. He caught gold of the lizard (2) its tail.
He got up quickly and ran home, anxious (3) show his father his prized catch.
When he reached home, he was astonished to see only a tail (4) his hand. Paul’s father explained that the lizard has a special way of escaping (5) its enemy. When is caught by his tail, it simply breaks the tail off and crawls away. A new tail will grow soon after. Paul learned a new and interesting fact about lizards from that experience.
