Martha is an office assistant in a company. Her boss gave her a task to collect outputs of the two applicants for the position
of Graphic Designer in the advertising unit. The outputs were not named but the control number was with Martha. Liza,
one of the applicants who happens to be her friend asked to help her to be hired in their office. Martha thought of the
things that Liza has done to her. When the boss has chosen the best output, Martha checked out the control number if it
was Liza’s output! It wasn’t hers! Martha decided to falsify the control number in order for her friend to be hired. When
the result was finally out, the other applicant named Marco complained because he saw what Martha did. Marco
expressed his feelings by brutally attacking Martha with bitter, hurtful, and taboo words. The boss witnessed it and called
out for a security guard. The boss wanted to clear up things on why it was happening, so he calmed both sides and listened
to them. Martha told the truth and apologized. The boss ended up not hiring anyone from the applicants, while she fired
Martha.

Me which theme is developed by the changing relationship between the narrator and his daughter in this excerpt ? as she grew older, she spent more of her time with girls. so much time indeed did she spend with them that she came no more, as she used to do, to her father’s room. i was scarcely on speaking terms with her. when mini and her father stop communicating, it develops the theme that children should not speak unless spoken to. as mini becomes more independent, it develops the theme that parents must learn to let go as their children grow up. as mini spends more time with friends, it develops the theme that young people are more influenced by peers than by parents. when mini and her father see each other far less often, it develops the theme that absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Hich line in this excerpt from jonathan swift's "a modest proposal" uses the rhetorical device of irony? and secondly, (there being a round million of creatures in humane figure throughout this kingdom, whose whole subsistence put into a common stock, would leave them in debt two million of pounds sterling), adding those who are beggars by profession, to the bulk of farmers, cottagers and labourers, with their wives and children, who are beggars in effect; i desire those politicians who dislike my overture, and may perhaps be so bold to attempt an answer, that they will first ask the parents of these mortals, whether they would not at this day think it a great happiness to have been sold for food at a year old, in the manner i prescribe, and thereby have avoided such a perpetual scene of misfortunes, as (they have since gone through, by the oppression of landlords, the impossibility of paying rent without money or trade, the want of common sustenance, with neither house nor cloaths to cover them from the inclemencies of the weather,) and the most inevitable prospect of intailing the like, or greater miseries, upon their breed for ever. i profess, in the sincerity of my heart, that( i have not the least personal interest in endeavouring to promote this necessary work, having no other motive than the publick good of my country,) by advancing our trade, providing for infants, relieving the poor, and giving some pleasure to the rich.( i have no children, by which i can propose to get a single penny; the youngest being nine years old, and my wife past child-bearing. reset next)

This thinning would materially change the sound of the drum, evidence that although it might continue to be used for its original purpose of music-making or calling people to arms, it would now do so with a different voice. a musical instrument had become a trophy, and the new carvings were in fact branding, a statement of the north’s political dominance over central africa and of allegiance to islam. the drum had come to khartoum at a critical moment in sudanese history. in an audio version, stressing the word "branding" would do what for the listener? emphasize the word's importance and the idea that followsadd emphasis to the following sentencesignal that something important has just been repeatedadd emphasis to the preceding sentence
