We can see that the essay is written in first person due to the author's prevalence in using the pronoun "I", in addition to being able to perceive that he is telling personal experiences and thoughts. 2. The author realized that there are many children in various parts of the world who are exposed to inhospitable situations because of poverty. These situations do not promote a good quality of life, a good education or a good security for children, besides making them lose their childhood by doing heavy and dangerous jobs, starving, most of the time.
