At the conclusion of the short story "Cooking Time," what were your thoughts or questions (relating to the story)? Did it make you think about anything, or did it leave you wondering about aspects of the story? Please explain. You must write at least 75 words ON TOPIC to earn your full credit.

The story made me think of the future of Earth and mankind.

At this point in our timeline, we are already being forced to rely more and more on processed everything. Processed water, sold in bottles an gallons, processed food, even humans are now processed from one gender to another.

Genetically modified food is now cheaper than organic food.

The governments of the world are gradually making moves to organise themselves into a One World Unit.

How much longer before Food and even Air becomes monopolised?

Already the tracker that was referred to in the story is existent and already in use.

It's just a matter of time before the United Nations creates a body that will be responsible for "ending hunger" in the third world nations and then finally around the globe.

It will not be difficult to find an excuse. They'd probably say agriculture and food production will be monopolised to regulate the use of earth to the end that it is further preserved from degradation.

About the extinction bees, only a nuclear conflict can make them extinct. That too is not really an impossibility.
