Directions: Read the passage, and answer the question that follows. What does it take to become a star? Many years of hard work! For as long as he could remember, Miguel wanted to be a tap dancer. He began taking lessons at age four and he studied piano as well so he could learn more about music. When Miguel entered high school, he performed in school plays and dances. Throughout high school and college, he continued to take dance classes and rehearse for school performances and he also worked hard to keep up his grades. After graduation, he joined a well-known dance company. Several years later, when he became the lead dancer in the show “A Chorus Line,” Miguel had accomplished his dream of becoming a tap star!
