Why did T. J. tell Mr. Kaleb that Mrs. Logan was an unfit teacher?

That was because Mrs. Logan caught him cheating and then she did not give him a pass mark.

Explanation:

T.J is a notorious character in the book Roll of Thunder, Hear my Cry. He did a lot of awful and mischievous things for his age. Mr. Kaleb was of the Wallace family and they owned an alcohol shop which was not attracting customers in recent times. Because T.J was annoyed that Mrs. Logan had failed him in a test where she saw him cheating, he went to the Wallace store, and there, he accused Mrs. Logan of being the reason why their store was not buzzing with customers.

He also told Mr. Kaleb that Mrs. Logan intentionally failed him. This led to an inquest by Mr. Kaleb and other teachers that resulted in Mrs. Logan being relieved of her teaching job.
