line of the story. What do you
notice? What's significant about this?

The relationship between the first and the last lines of 'The Pie' is that the narrator subtly gives an emphasis on the fact that he is very aware of the consequencies of actions.

Here in the story is the epitome of the inner struggle between good and bad in most of humanity. It's a struggle because irrespective of the knowledge of good and a firm functional moral compass, many times we are drawn towards, regarldess of our knowedge of the consequencies of our actions, the bad things we know very well not to do.

the correct answer is "tan believes that nonstandard english can make family communication difficult". raising children across cultures can sometimes be challenging, especially when the values and expectations are from different cultures. this can make it difficult to feel a sense of belonging to any community.
