HEROES & VILLAINS Movies usually have strong characters called heroes. Both males and females can be heroes. They are usually likeable and the audience roots for the hero. Heroes may have friends or partners and when the hero explains a plan to a partner, the audience can learn valuable information that helps them understand the movie’s plot.
However, movies often have villains, too. Villains can also be male or female. Many times villains seem mean or nasty and the audience roots against the villain. Like heroes, the villains may have partners or accomplice and when the accomplices plot with each other, the audience learns what action to expect and better understands the plot.
