Explanation:

This chapter, The Chase tells of the incident that occurred when Dillard and some other boys used snowballs to smash the windshield of a man. This happened during winter when they were fond of throwing snowballs at vehicles.

When they threw the soft snowball at the Buick's windshield, the driver came out of the vehicle and chased them.

The chase was intense and exhilarating, as described by Dillard. The man continued chasing them until he caught Dillard and Mickey.
