Anventists is a religion that tries to do the things God says in the Bible. Therefore, they rest on Saturday according to the ten commandments, everyday they try to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and be a mirror of the divine creator. Although, the people say that it is a church of crazy people, they try to remain firm in what they believe. This religion is to help the people that feel a void in their heart. According to my dad´s words, the church is a hospital for the people that are sick; some all of them have serious illnesses, others are not so serious. On the other hand, those who are not so ill are doctors and nurses trying to help others, and I have realized that this is true. For example, a person that has drug addiction can be helped by another that your disease is not so serious or has already overcome it.

People say that the churches from this religion are enterprises which try to steal the money of their members. That's not true. First, the money that is collected is used for repairing the church, second, to help other people in other parts of the world and by last a certain amount is used for the pastor's fixed salary. (Since the shepherds are not dedicated to anything else).

In conclusion, this religion isn't bad, quite the opposite. In my opinion, and according to my own experience the church is like a family in Christ that in spite of everyone having flaws and making mistakes, we support each other and try to help other people.

Read the passage below and answer the question that follows. ‘you make me feel uncivilized, daisy,’ i confessed on my second glass of corky but rather impressive claret. ‘can’t you talk about crops or something? ’ i meant nothing in particular by this remark but it was taken up in an unexpected way. ‘civilization’s going to pieces,’ broke out tom violently. ‘i’ve gotten to be a terrible pessimist about things. have you read ‘the rise of the coloured empires’ by this man goddard? ’ ‘why, no,’ i answered, rather surprised by his tone. ‘well, it’s a fine book, and everybody ought to read it. the idea is if we don’t look out the white race will be—will be utterly submerged. it’s all scientific stuff; it’s been proved.’ in this passage, tom’s ideas about race relations come off as uncivilized. what literary device is fitzgerald using here?
