Which sentences in the passage provide the best evidence to support this thesis? Thesis: Bebop was a rejection of the limits of the traditional jazz of the early 1940s and the larger social context in which it was performed.
Bebop was born of a rejection of the harmonies and the rhythmic limitations of the traditional jazz of the early 1940s and the larger social
context in which it was performed. The swing movement, which preceded it, was characterized by boxed-in orchestral configurations with
solos that stayed within traditional harmonies and melodic rhythms. Bebop focused on small groups with soloists who felt free to push
their instruments to the limit. They explored new harmonies and played whatever they wanted against the backdrop of the group. There
were several societal factors that drove this movement. One was an attempt to cope with the racism that pervaded the daily lives of the
musicians who were primarily African American. Young musicians were among those drafted into the military to go to war. African
Americans returned from war to broader segregation and degradation in American society.

Will mark as brainliest excerpt from the christmas carol: use this information to deepen your understanding of the character. oh! but he was a tight-fisted hand at the grindstone, scrooge! a squeezing, wrenching, grasping, scraping, clutching, covetous, old sinner! hard and sharp as flint, from which no steel had ever struck out generous fire; secret, and self-contained, and solitary as an oyster. the cold within him froze his old features, nipped his pointed nose, shriveled his cheek, stiffened his gait; made his eyes red, his thin lips blue; and spoke out shrewdly in his grating voice. a frosty rime was on his head, and on his eyebrows, and his wiry chin. he carried his own low temperature always about with him; he iced his office in the dog-days; and didn’t thaw it one degree at christmas. race: use this organizational method to guide your writing- r – restate the prompt a – answer the prompt/questions c – cite evidence e – explain the evidence write your response here:
