How are the images in the first and second stanzas different?

The first image explains the rise from the depths of negativity  per say. As in, " On this long storm the Rainbow rose. " The storm is negativity, it can be seen as sadness for example. But as I mentioned before just rising out of negativity. "The clouds - like listless Elephants. The definition of Listless is (of a person or their manner) lacking energy or enthusiasm. So the statement conveys that even when the rainbow rose the environment was lacking energy or enthusiasm for the storm going away. Same as the line " Horizons - straggled down". This statement does not sound very bright.

The second image explains more positivity and energy. The first line "The Birds rose smiling, in their nests". This statment shows energy and positivity. Smiling equals happiness,which equals positivity. The third line, "Alas, how heedless were the eyes". The defintion of heedless is showing a reckless lack of care or attention. if your full of energy sometimes you don't have a care in the world, in a good way, and you don't pay much attention. Sometimes like when your hyper. The last statement, "On whome the summer shone!" This statement finishes strong. Summer = sun and shine = brightness of sun. So the whole second stanza conveys smiling, full of energy, and brightness.
