When the amount of red blood cells is not enough in the body, then there is no way oxygen will get to the entire body. Red blood cells contains a pigment called haemoglobin which facilitates the movement of oxygen in the body.

Therefore, a low amount of haemoglobin deprives the body of oxygen which is needed to carry out normal functions. This might result in the loss of energy which will eventually make the person to always feel weak as is the case of Shyam when he complained to the doctor that he always feel tired.

This disease is as a result of the shortage of iron in the body. Shyam can get rid of this disease by eating more food that is rich in iron. It is recommended that Shyam should consume foods like beans, green vegetables, sesame seeds as they contain a high amount of iron.
