Read the excerpt below from the article "Killer Cows!" in Lesson 2.03: For example, the country Argentina is one of the planet's largest producers of beef, and with almost 60 million cows grazing in its grasslands, cows can be blamed for a whopping one-third of Argentina's greenhouse gas emissions.

So what? you might be thinking. Killer cows, really? But there are very serious consequences, specifically issues of global warming, animal torture and chemically-grown meat. Chemicals strong enough to burn through the protective ozone layer are lurking in the meat you're eating right now, and being emitted into the air you breathe as poisonous gas. Save the planet and save yourself. Go vegetarian, and boycott Big Farming.
