B) Mikhail decides to let go of the bike first to allow Candice to win.

C) Mikhail drinks water and does not offer Candice any.

D) Mikhail decides to go camping with Candice.

E) Mikhail suddenly rushes off to use the restroom.

the story for the questions is:

Mikhail was not about to let go of the bike. He had prepared for this contest of endurance for months, which was held to mark the grand opening of the new sporting goods store. His name was drawn with nine others to compete for a brand new mountain bike. All he had to do was hold onto the bike the longest and he would win. And now it came down to him and Candice, his arch-rival and best friend. Both were in desperate need of a new bike—Mikhail's took a beating during his last trail ride and Candice's had been stolen after a weekend camping trip with her parents. The twosome had been engaged in competition for nearly 24 hours at this point. The hustle and bustle of the store's opening had died down, which began to sap the energy from Mikhail, and though he had prepared for the many obstacles he would have to overcome to win the bike, he had overlooked his healthy water drinking habit.

He began to think about why he wanted the bike so much. His current bike, though beaten up, was still very usable. Mikhail loved it, and in fact, began to wonder if it was more a chance at getting something new that was driving this need. He looked at Candice, who was beginning to fade. He needed to use the restroom, and though he believed he could outlast her, he was not certain. But he thought of his good friend, whose bike was stolen, and he knew what was best for both of them. Just as Candice was about to let go of the bike and concede victory, Mikhail suddenly let go, politely excused himself, and ran for the restroom in an exaggerated show. When he returned, he saw Candice's huge smile lighting up her tired face. He gave her a hug and apologized for running off so fast. "I just hoped you washed up," chuckled Candice.
