Over the years there has been an extraordinary growth/expansion of new government agencies/bureaucracies with countless pages of rules and regulations effected upon the citizenry. Socialized medicine would greatly expand government and effect the U. S. economy, since health care represents approximately one sixth of the entire U. S. economy.
