Which detail from the passage shows that white people
and Chinese people struggled with trusting each other
in this setting?
The woman is nice to the narrator.
The milk is greasy
“And what's this stuff?" I looked dubiously at the glass of
thick, white liquid.
"Cow's milk."
I almost made a face but caught myself. “But that's cow
urine."
"No, no, stupid. Milk comes from the cow's udders. Now
drink it. You must not offend the lady."
I glanced at the demoness. She smiled at me. It was nice
of her to think of me as a demon child - I guess. I sipped
the liquid and managed not to make a face at the awful,
greasy taste.
The narrator's father calls him stupid.
The narrator refers to white people as demons.

20 points plus brainlest answer if right. joe nesbo, a travelling salesman, was staying at a hotel for business. he was having a dinner meeting that night, so he decided to take a nap in the middle of the afternoon. he was awakened by a knock at the door, and then a man walked in. “oh my, i’m terribly sorry, this isn’t my room. , pardon the intrusion.” the man calmly backed out and left. nesbo got up and locked the door – something he forgot to do before his nap – and lay back down on the bed. but then he shot up in bed and called the lobby to tell them there was a burglar on the prowl. what made nesbo think that?

Read the excerpts from “take the tortillas out of your poetry” and “speaking arabic.” my friend had concluded that if he took his language and culture out of his poetry, he stood a better chance of receiving a fellowship. he took out his native language, the poetic patois of our reality, the rich mixture of spanish, english, pachuco and street talk which we know so well. in other words, he took the tortillas out of his poetry, which is to say he took the soul out of his poetry. at a neighborhood fair in texas, somewhere between the german oom-pah sausage stand and the mexican gorditas booth, i overheard a young man say to his friend, “i wish i had a heritage. sometimes i feel—so lonely for one.” and the tall american trees were dangling their thick branches right down over his head. which best states how the structures of both excerpts support ideas about cultural diversity? each incorporates non-english words. each incorporates academic words. each incorporates offensive words. each incorporates nonsense words.
