What is ironic about capulet saying death is my son in law

Death is now his son-in-law and heir instead of Paris. I think there is a of foreshadowing and dramatic irony involved, the dramatic irony because Capulet doesn't know he has a son-in-law and heir who is well and alive (talking about Romeo of course), and the foreshadowing because his real son-in-law is going to die.
