A discipline is an area of specialization that is attained after undergoing training in colleges or technical schools. There are various disciplines in the world of academy and some of them include: Medicine, Law, Nursing, Education, International relations, Accounting, Engineering, Political science, Mechanics, Carpentry. etc. Every discipline has its unique language, connotation or texts  that differentiates it from others. For example; In Auto mechanics, there are terminologies that are used to identify it. Such include: brakes, car diagnosis, traction control, battery charging, anti-lock braking system.

In Welding, common terminologies include base metal, Arc voltage, goggles, cutting touch, bonds, crater.

In electronics/electricity, common terminologies include alternator, AC coupling, alternator, ampere, voltage.

These are common texts in various technical disciplines.
