The Hamlet refer to the some kind of settlement or a community of the people which is smaller than the villages.

As per the given phases the Hamlet trying to investigate the Murderer o his father and he was suspecting his Uncle murder his Father. He only sure on about the situation only when the play is happening and how his brother was killed during the play .

This situation only occur when hamlet warn the men many times and even after the warning his uncle did the killing and now the hamlet is pretty sure for how killed his dad.

Explanation:

Hamlet here is testing his uncle Claudius for the possibility that he may have killed his father which he already did suspect him for.

He is only able to confirm his concerns when it so happens that Claudius winces when he sees in the play the reenactment of how he got his brother killed.

This happens after hamlet warns him so so the men both understand that this is going to be the situation now. Hamlet's worries are confirmed and now he knows for sure who killed his father.
