Excerpt from No Cons, All Pros for Reality Shows
Dontavious Tindell
1. Getting the Phone Call:
When I finally got the phone call from the producers of the reality TV show "The Coolest Kid in School' telling me I had been
accepted as a part of the show's final cast, you'd think that my mom would've been happy about it-even proud. I'd shown more
initiative in applying for the show than I'd ever shown in trying to improve my grade point average: I'd made an awesome
audition tape, filled out a huge 15 page application (including four Essays!), and done five different stressful interviews before a
panel of producers in order to make the final cut.
The following is the script of a television commercial advertising for applicants to the upcoming reality show, The Coolest Kid in
School
Are you the Big Man (or Woman) on Campus? Are you the envy of everyone at your school? Were you the Prom King or Prom Queer
Think you have what it takes to be the most popular among the most popular? Then apply to be on this network's new reality show
The Coolest Kid in School
Which would be the BEST concluding line of this script?
es! -)))
Why don't you sign up for the TV show today?
You'll never regret filling out an application!
Now that you ve dominated your school, try dominating ours!
