What are the main arguments against springing forward on our clocks?

Changing the clocks does not create extra daylight, but it causes the Sun to rise and set at a later time by the clock. So, when we spring forward an hour in spring, we add 1 hour of natural daylight to our afternoon schedule. Proponents of DST argue that longer evenings motivate people to get out of the house. The main purpose of Daylight Saving Time (called "Summer Time" in many places in the world) is to make better use of daylight. We change our clocks during the summer months to move an hour of daylight from the morning to the evening. For some, however, the time change can have more serious consequences.  Studies link the lack of sleep at the start of DST to car accidents, workplace injuries, or  miscarriages.  The early evening darkness after the end of the DST period is linked to depression.
