So i’m writing a paper on nostalgia. Why our generation is so stuck on the 80s. I need help figuring out a topic . I was thinking music because we tend to listen to a lot of 80s in today’s day. Or clothes. bc fashion from the 80s has came back. I need some good resources or advice!

Revolving nostalgia is not a new phenomnon and can be found in the old days too.

Explanation:

The 80s were also inspired in part by the rock n roll generation's early parts of culture. The flamboyance of the 80s fashion came as a response to the conservatism that was on the rise at the time and such environment has come up again in the recent surge of conservatives again.

Musical influence of the 80s is less evident as Rock and Punk are not mainstream genres anymore while Hip Hop and R&B dominate the zeitgeist so this may not be as relevant on the 80s nostalgia front.
