2 Outside Manny's Family Market, VINCENT and his friends, STEPHANIE and MELINDA, cross the bustling parking lot and approach the large, automatic doors. VINCENT enters the lobby and STEPHANIE and MELINDA follow. VINCENT stops before a large bulletin board filled with an array of advertisements.

3 VINCENT: (VINCENT points to an advertisement for Manny's Family Market.) The market is hiring cashiers and stockroom attendants. I'm in desperate need of summer employment, and the position of cashier seems perfect for me.

4 STEPHANIE: You would probably be fond of it, Vincent. After all, you've always enjoyed starting conversations and helping people.
