Me anyone i beg.

read the excerpt from the miracle worker by william gibson.

kate: [too quickly] what did she spell? annie: i spelled card. she spelled cake! (she takes in kate’s quickness and shakes her head, gently.) no, it’s only a finger game to her, mrs. keller. what she has to learn first is that things have names. kate: and when will she learn? annie: maybe after a million and one words. next, read the excerpt from the story of my life by helen keller. when i had played with it a little while, miss sullivan slowly spelled into my hand the word "d-o-l-l." i was at once interested in this finger play and tried to imitate it. when i finally succeeded in making the letters correctly i was flushed with childish pleasure and pride. running downstairs to my mother i held up my hand and made the letters for doll. i did not know that i was spelling a word or even that words existed; i was simply making my fingers go in monkey-like imitation. in the days that followed i learned to spell in this uncomprehending way a great many words, among them pin, hat, cup and a few verbs like sit, stand and walk. but my teacher had been with me several weeks before i understood that everything has a name.

based on the excerpts, how is the point of view in the play the miracle worker different from the point of view in the memoir the story of my life?

a - only the play shows helen having difficulty learning that things have names. b - only the memoir shows helen’s thoughts about her lessons.
c - only the memoir shows annie’s thoughts about helen’s behavior.
d - only the play shows helen’s feelings about her mother.

Item 7 shakespeare often puts the audience in a situation where they know more than one of the characters does. how does shakespeare increase the tension in the four-lovers story line by giving the audience information that one or more of the characters does not have? the audience knows that hermia’s father really approves of lysander and there is no need for hermia and lysander to run away. this knowledge builds tension because the audience wonders if hermia and lysander’s relationship will survive a night in the woods. the audience knows that helena really hates hermia and wants to hurt her. this knowledge builds tension when helena tells demetrius of hermia’s plan to run away because the audience wonders if hermia will be caught and punished. the audience knows that lysander and demetrius are under the spell, but helena and hermia do not. this knowledge builds tension and makes the audience eager to see what will happen next. the audience knows that oberon is observing the lovers, but the lovers do not know. this knowledge builds tension because oberon falls in love with helena and decides to become a human so he can marry her.
