1 - do all of the ideas in my narrative support and relate to the main idea (theme, moral, or lesson)? do the ideas fit together well?
2 - are there details in the narrative that need to be rearranged so that they make more sense? do i need to add more details to make the narrative clearer? do i need to delete any details or ideas that do not make sense or do not explain the story?
3 - did i use vivid images and sensory details to describe the characters, setting, and action of the story?
4 - is the first-person point of view used all throughout the story?
5 - did i accomplish my purpose of explaining the significance of the event?
6 - is the organization of my narrative clear? is it easy to follow?
7 - does my narrative contain transitional devices between paragraphs and between sentences?
8 - did i use strong, precise (exact) words and details instead of weak, vague (unclear) ones?
9 - are my sentences varied lengths (i. e. not all simple sentences)? are there any simple sentences with related ideas that i can combine into compound or complex sentences?
