answer: antony makes a better use of the appeal.brutus   uses it   to a certain degree ,and might have obtained what he is looking for, the approval of the crowd, until antony comes. on the one hand, he   makes a wise selection of words   and tries to convince the crowd to trust in his honorability.he wants the romans to understand he sacrificed his friendship with caesar for the sake of rome.he justifies his act and gives reasons for doing so .his intention is to make people understand what has happened and that is why he uses reason.

on the other hand, antony uses people´s feelings in order to show romans who caesar was and why he was slained.by doing so he makes the crowd think reasonably about caesar´s life. first of all , he comes with caesar´s body.when he addresses the crowd he says he has come to bury caesar and not to praise him. even   when his speech comes after brutus´s , and when he knows brutus may have convinced the romans that caesar was a traitor and needed to be killed, he uses the history caesar gave to his beloved rome.he insists that caesar brought benefits to the republic and that his only interest was that of the   people, that he was not ambitious.he pauses and weeps.though his speech is full of emotions he wants people to rationalize the idea that caesar was killed because of the ambition of others .he succeeds.
