The point of view of a story makes all the difference in a story’s structure. what if dillard’s story were told through the eyes of the weasel? imagine an average day in your life, as observed through the eyes of another animal. pick an animal, or insect, that could reasonably observe you, like a dog, cat, bird, fly. write what the animal/insect might observe. use at least three of the senses (smell, taste, touch, sight, hear).

My human has come back home once again, she always goes straight to the kitchen and just drinks water. She hardly listens to my calls when they first come but at least she gets to it. Finnaly she refills my boul of yummy food and strocks her hand across my back, its soft and warm, gentel yet suddle while also soothing, I love it when she does this. She then picks me up and carrys me to the livingroom while we wait for the other humans to come. She's just sits there on a little electronic box as if she's under a spell. I manage to get away so that I can now go and relaxe. I don't really like that one but the others are quite alright. I've seem to have fallen asleep but now I cant find her, this seems to happen on a daily basis, always disapearing for hours and only returning when the lights go out. Finnally she's comes from that small room that I'm always rejeckted from. I've choosen to watch her eat from above hoping that she'll notice me. Alast she picks me up and takes me to the secret room and we nap together.While I've woken up once again and she already left with no trace, at least she left food for me. I can't wait for her to come back and answer my calls.

After waiting for many hours, yes! finally! I hear the door nob twist and then stop, then I hear the key go into the lock and at last finally the door opens and the human comes in! I run up to the human and jump on her knocking the human over and licking the sweat off her face. she shoves me aside and gets up grabbing the brown bags she once was holding, they smell of food! once she sets them down on the table she walks up to me and pats my head as a greeting I assume. I wag my tail and lick the humans hand waiting for her to pull the food out of the brown mystery bags hoping I could snag a piece. after the human puts all the food in the big cold box ( fridge) she goes into the room and lays on the big comfy bed I jump up on it and curl up next to the humans legs as we doze off into a deep sleep.
