What should we be aware of when reading chapter 1 of to kill a mockingbird?

We as readers should listen to the way Scout talks and the language that she uses. She is an unreliable narrator because she is still a child and although she is very literate, she still has the perspective of a child and connot comprehend situations the same as an adult would.

The basic event in the 1st chapter is Scout telling the end of the story without getting in to, to much detail. So, you won't know what will happen at the end. Another event is Scout telling the beginning of what started everything.
