Students of turkington high school, the time has come for us to reclaim our
lunch hour. as one of your fellow students, i, too, am infuriated that the
administrative board has cut our lunch hour in half. i also know that, while it
may seem that we have no power as students, we can actually move
mountains when we unite our voices in protest. many of you have
expressed fear that an extended lunch period will almost certainly lead to an
extended school day! however, this simply isn't the case! i call upon you,
my fellow peers, to write a letter to the administrative board and demand
that our one hour lunch be reinstated immediately!
does the person delivering the speech clearly state his or her stance in the
speech? does this fall near the beginning or the end of the speech? do you
think this strengthens the speech?
