In Gabriel Garcia Marquez's short story "Evening Siesta", the woman had come to the small town to the priest's place to visit her son Carlos's grave. And it seems like everyone had already prejudged him and his family from the way they were treated. And this judgement is even with the priest who seems uninterested to even accompany the woman and little girl to the grave. This is in contrast to the very nature of being a priest, for they are meant to serve God's people and have no judgement on anyone. Moreover, based on the above passage, we can see that he had little interest in the mother's son. He doesn't want to be woken up when they come back from visiting the grave. i think the correct answer would be adjustments in life roles.  this causes for one to adjust or change totally his/her career or lifestyle since the present is not beneficial to the life role he is at. for instance, you became a mother you would of course stop going to malls and enjoying life outside. you would be staying at home taking care of your child.
