It depends on your standpoint. If you agree they should be banned, you need to come up with at least three reasons why they should be banned

Causes pollution, destroying wildlife and the environment.Problematic degradation as it takes millions of years to break down.Better alternatives are available such as paper bags/straws, metal straws, bamboo straws, canvas bags, etc.

If you disagree, you need to find benefits as to why they shouldn't be banned, but managed instead of completely getting rid of them.
