In Shakespeare's "Hamlet," Horatio, who is well-educated and less prone to believe in ghosts, is shocked as he encounters the ghost of King Hamlet and notices he is wearing the same armour he wore when he fought against Norway. At the same time, he has the feeling that the frightening apparition of the ghost cannot bring anything but misfortune to the state of Denmark.

wordsworth tends to see nature as 'out there'; a presence which surrounds humans, and contributes to human life, but is different from humans. if you look at a typical wordsworth poem (there was a boy, ye knew him well ye rocks) - wordsworth talks about nature as something that needs to be learned about and understood, nature is different from us.
